Georgetown University School of Medicine is ONLY using the new Visiting Student Application Service (VSAS) for visiting student fourth year elective applications. Electives are offered to 4th year medical students students enrolled in U.S. LCME-accredited institutions.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR VISITING STUDENTS-
April 15, 2009 - Georgetown's 4th Year Elective Catalog is available in VSAS. Earliest date visiting students can apply to Georgetown.
June 15, 2009 - Earliest date notifications are sent to visiting students through VSAS. Once the placement of our students is complete, we begin notifying visiting students of application decisions on a block-by-block basis.
Visiting students will be notified via email regarding the status of their application(s). If you are placed in an elective, you will be notified via email.
If you choose to accept an offer and in order to secure your place in an elective, you are required to fax a letter from your primary physician stating that you are in good health and free from communicable diseases. Letters should be faxed to Office of Medical Education- 202.687.7143.
There is a $100.00 processing fee for each accepted elective (payable by check or credit card)

INFORMATION FOR OSTEOPATHIC AND INTERNATIONAL VISITING STUDENTS-
You must request a copy of the Visiting Student Application. This may be done after May 1, 2009 by emailing medicaleducationoffice@georgetown.edu
INFORMATION FOR ACCEPTED VISITING STUDENTS-
Housing and parking assistance is not provided to visiting students.
