Oman Student Research Grant
The competitive Oman Research Grant program supports new and ongoing research projects of MAAS students. The research must pertain to the contemporary Arab world. The competition is held annually, with awards ranging from a minimum of $500 to a maximum of $1,500. The grant covers research materials, support for travel connected with the performance of research, and subventions for scholarly manuscripts. As the research needs of students are various, requests for support for other research-related purposes will also be considered.
Applicants should submit in electronic or hard copy the following items, which will comprise the “application,” by the specified deadline.
• A two-page letter outlining in specific and succinct detail the purposes to which the award will be put. The letter should also briefly describe how the award would contribute to the applicant’s proposed research.
• A two-page curriculum vitae.
• A dollar amount or budget indicating the level of support requested. If the grant-in-aid will cover only a portion of the research expenses, the applicant should indicate how the remaining portion would be covered.
Questions regarding the Oman Student Research Grant should be directed to Ms. Kelli Harris, Academic Program Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
