Lombardi is grateful to the late Emily DeCicco, PhD, JD, wife of Frank DeCicco, MD, for her gift of display cases for the Nina Hyde Patient Resource Room. The cases now display information and resources about cancer for patients and family members in an easy to find manner.

John L. Marshall, MD, Emily DeCicco's doctor and chief of Hematology/Oncology at Lombardi, accepted the gift on behalf of the cancer center.

"Contributions like Emily's help us fulfill our commitment to patients and families to provide an optimal treatment experience at Lombardi," he said.

"The gift typified Emily's response to the world - identify a need and provide the resources to meet that need," said Nancy Morgan, MA-TLA, director of the Arts & Humanities Program. "Emily was an organizer and she realized we needed help with the Nina Hyde Room, finding a way to display all the patient information resources for easy access."
