America! Stores Raise $45,000 for Breast Cancer Research

June 22, 2012

AMERICA!, a retailer of American-themed products, hosted the eighth annual 'Blossoms to Benefit’ fundraiser, which donated 10% of it’s Cherry Blossom product line to breast cancer research. This year, the event raised $45,000 for Georgetown Lombardi’s Nina Hyde Center for Breast Cancer Research.

Blossoms to Benefit is the creation of Jane Crawford, the company's impassioned president and a two-time breast cancer survivor. The Nina Hyde Center for Breast Cancer Research at the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center was established in 1989 as a tribute to Nina Hyde who reigned as fashion editor of The Washington Post for 18 years before breast cancer befell her. She fervently believed in the benefits of early detection and research as the vehicle that would eventually provide a cure.

AMERICA! store locations in the Washington, DC area include: Union Station, Ronald Reagan National Airport, Fashion Centre at Pentagon City, Washington Dulles International Airport, Old Town Alexandria Store, Baltimore Washington International Airport, Baltimore Inner Harbor, and the National Harbor.
