Molly and Mark Decker will be honored at the 23rd Annual Lombardi Gala with the Margaret L. Hodges Award. This award, which is named for the
gala founder Margaret Hodges, recognizes individuals for their sustained
contributions of time, energy, financial resources and leadership to the
Lombardi Gala and the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center.

The Deckers have been closely connected to Lombardi for well over a
decade. Starting out as attendees of our gala in 1997, they soon joined
committees and then quickly took leadership roles within those groups.
Mark is currently Co-Chair of The Men’s Event for prostate cancer as
well as Co-Chair of the Corporate Executive Committee for the gala.
Molly is Co-Chair of the Women & Wine event for breast cancer as well as Co-Chair of our gala silent auction.

Sadly, cancer is no stranger to the Decker family. Despite personal and
family struggles with the disease, the Decker’s have remained steadfast
in their commitment to curing cancer. They have worked tirelessly, both
personally and professionally, to progress the research that is
performed at Lombardi. It is for these reasons, and so many more, that
we are proud to give the Margaret L. Hodges Award to this inspiring couple.
